The newly formed Senior Committee met on April 16th at Atxondo. The meeting celebrated the end of tax season, was a chance to meet new friends and learn about group activities , especially about D.C. Village programs for seniors.

About us: We are a newly organized group of SSNA and CBENA retirees/seniors committed to strengthening community social ties and to supporting seniors who may aspire to live independently, at home, as they age.
The Spring Fling was a success! More than 100 neighbors - adults and kids - joined us despite the drizzly start. The big kids enjoyed their egg manager role and all kids - small and big - loved finding some sweets. Adults enjoyed connecting with friends and new neighbors. Special thanks to Zeke’s for donating half the coffee and to all the many neighbors who donated candy or time stuffing eggs, cleaning the garden or help with Spring Fling set up or clean up! You are what make this neighborhood so special!
Thanks to the more than 50 neighbors who came for the clean-up event at the Piney Spring Green!! It was a delightful morning connecting with neighbors and it felt great to beautify our neighborhood green space. Special thanks for Steve at Washington Parks for bringing all the garden tools and guidance for preparing the gardens and trees.
Our first neighborhood weekend clean-up event of 2025!
