On Tuesday December 6, despite the cold and formidable rain, over thirty-five members showed for our annual meeting/election of officers and community potluck. Members brought enough food to feed a hundred and both kids and adults had a great time.

I am pleased to announce that our four officers (Chair: Jack Campbell; Vice-chair: Carrie Beaudreau; Secretary: Cecelia Waldeck and Treasurer: Susie King) were re-elected unanimously for a second term. In addition, we added three new members to the board: Vikisha Fripp, Pat Lute and Nathan Stokes. All three have proven to be great advocates for the neighborhood this past year and have stepped up to the plate to keep us going and growing. Bios for all the executive team members can be found at ssna-dc.org/executive-team.

In addition to our members and their families, representatives from the mayor and councilmember offices attended the event, including a surprise visit by Councilmember Todd himself.

Congratulation to the 2017 Executive Team and a big warm thank you to the community for demonstrating their support for their own 16th Street Neighborhood Association.
